We are Sarah and Wes, an artist and pharmacist, two Maine kids with a love for design. We created the instagram account @thismainehouse a decade ago when we bought a very old house and wanted to show our families the progress that we were making on our project-home. We have spent the past 15 years working together to make our spaces as beautiful as possible on tight budgets. We are currently on our 5th project, creating a rental home on Mount Desert Island. This property was initially a poured slab of concrete with the framing to become a garage. We took that footprint and made it into a rentable 3 bedroom home. Come take a look.
